Fil-Nor GAIN Joins the Norwegian Seafarers’ Union at the ITF Seafarers’ Expo 2023

Fil-Nor GAIN joined the Norwegian Seafarers’ Union (NSU) at their booth at the ITF Seafarers’ Expo held at Liwasang Ulalim at the CCP Complex in Pasay City. It was 3-day event that started on Friday, June 23, 2023 and ended on Sunday, June 25, 2023, which is the official celebration of the Day of the Seafarer.

The event organized by the International Transport Worker’s Federation (ITF) gathered its affiliate unions, welfare organizations, and manning agents to educate and bring awareness to seafarers of their rights, health and safety while working aboard ships.

The ITF Expo provided various seminars, food, games, entertainment and raffle prizes, a play area equipped with inflatables and toys for the seafarer’s young children was also set-up for them. Booth participants gave away freebies and information materials to all seafarers who came by each day of the event. Approximately 1,200 to 1,500 seafarers registered and visited each day of the event.
